 End Customers
- How do we use data from consumers?
We primarily use consumers’ data for the purpose of tracking a consumer from a Publisher to an Advertiser. Tracking enables us to see that a consumer has visited a Publisher's service, found a product, and clicked the link to be taken to the Advertiser's service to review or purchase the product. The purpose of tracking is to attribute sales and marketing effort by a Publisher to a particular transaction or a specific marketing action, to enable Advertisers to reward their Publishers on a per transaction or a per marketing action basis. Tracking also allows us to provide Publishers and Advertisers with related reports. The majority of these reports contain only aggregated statistical data. We do not know who the consumer is throughout the entire process, and we only maintain a limited user profile to understand a consumer’s journey and whether a referral is commenced on one device and completed on another device.
